Construction Skills Training
This Program prepares students for jobs at commercial and residential property maintenance companies. It will take two quarters to complete the requirements for this certificate. Most classes meet in the late afternoon or evening. Jobs in this field will pay $11-15 per hour.
Construction Industry Training provides instruction in:
- Plumbing
- Basic Carpentry
- Painting, drywall techniques
- Flooring and tile installation
Students will also take classes in:
- Math Skills
- Fitness
- CPR/First Aid
- Job Development
To Qualify for this Program, Students Should Meet the Following Requirements:
- Interest in building or construction careers
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance may be required by employer
- Must be able to read, write and speak English (minimum ESL Level 5)
